At the Y, strengthening our community is our cause. Every day we work side by side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income, or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
Listed below are some of the Signature Programs the Southeastern Indiana YMCA hosts to support our friends and neighbors.
Kids Kick Drugs / Karate Day
In an effort to combat substance abuse, children ages 5-12 are invited to come to the Y for a fun day of Karate activities and demonstrations. They also hear from guest speakers including local police officers, doctors, and health care professionals.
Community Non-Profits are Welome
Non-profit organizations in the community can have use of our Conference Rooms at no charge for meetings and presentations. Organizations we have helped include Relay for Life, Girls on the Run, Batesville Football and Baseball Leagues, and Food & Growers Association
Special Needs (ROD) Students
Special Needs Junior High and Senior High School students visit monthly from Batesville, South Ripley, Milan, Lawrenceburg, and Sunman-Dearborn to enjoy the amenities of the YMCA at a low cost.
