Senior Fitness

Everyone, and particularly older adults, can benefit greatly from both water- and land-based cardiovascular, strength and flexibility programs. The Y offers several group classes designed especially for seniors. Also, comprehensive personal fitness programs may be designed to meet an individual’s particular needs.

Our Silver Sneakers classes are physician approved specifically for “seniors” and run Monday through Thursday, 10-11am every week. The classes are great fun and building in attendance! There is a social and light snack following the exercise class the 4th Monday of every month year round.

Water Fitness Classes and Water Arthritis classes come with no stress on the joints, free/easy movement in the water (you may wear a life preserver, several participants do) and you will begin to realize these classes work and give you life-changing results!
