Why the Y?
Because of swim instructors like Jessica. She took me on as a weak swimmer with poor technique. One week after our first one-on-one lesson she had brought me to the point of being able to swim one length of the pool. By the end of the program her instruction and critique had given me three different strokes (free, back and breast) and helped considerably to refine my form and technique. Jessica’s coaching inspired the confidence to practice between sessions and to understand what to practice (you won’t make progress if you practice the wrong things or in the wrong way).
I’m now a better swimmer, more confident, and much more at ease in the water. Swimming is now something I look forward to and enjoy.— Member Ken Baran
