CHILDCARE
Adventures in Learning
Infants Ages 6 weeks - 1 year old.
Teachers strive to attain balance and harmony with your infant’s home schedule. This means that we work with families to establish the right eating and sleeping routines for your child.
For our infants and toddlers, a daily sheet is sent home to inform about eating, sleeping and toileting needs. Breastfeeding mothers are welcome to continue their feeding plan with their babies. Mothers can choose to feed in the classroom or the designated breastfeeding room.
Infants learn through active, hands-on play. Grabbing plastic rings, rolling on a soft blanket, making a toy squeak - what fun! Our infant classrooms allow crawlers to move around freely in a safe space, babies can reach and explore objects - a key to learning. Ratio: 1 adult: 4 infants.
Toddlers Ages 1-3 Years Old.
At the YMCA Learning Center, toddlers watch and absorb knowledge, and skills from everything and everyone around them. They move, discover, and play in our toddler classrooms. We provide guidance as they develop their skills, gain independence, and master milestones. Most importantly, children learn how to be their best selves. Toddler classrooms maintain a ratio of 1 adult: 5 toddlers. Ratio for 30-36 Months - 1 adult: 7 toddlers.
Our child care staff are experienced, trained professionals chosen for their warmth, creativity, experience with children, and commitment to excellence.
