School Age Programs

School Age Programming

The Southeastern Indiana YMCA's afterschool programs are committed to working with schools and other community partners to ensure that all kids and teens have the support they need to reach their full potential. We provide a safe, enriching and fun environment for kids to enjoy when the school day ends. Kids can get homework help and unwind with games and physical activities to help end the day on a high note.

For the 2024-2025 school year the Southeastern Indiana YMCA will start offering two options for afterschool care:  Kids Club at the Southeastern Indiana YMCA or Y Pack at the Batesville Primary School.

Y Pack

Afterschool Care at Batesville Primary School for students in grades pre-k through grade six.  At BPS, children will enjoy a safe and enriching afterschool environment. Upon arrival, they will be provided with healthy snacks and then engage in a variety of activities including games, crafts, and more.

Kids Club

Before and afterschool care for children in Kindergarten through age 12. Children are transported to and from Batesville Community Schools via Batesville’s school bus. Children are served a healthy snack upon their arrival to the YMCA Learning Center in the afternoon.  There’s also a quiet time to focus on school homework daily.

After school care offers opportunities for children to join in a variety of experiences, including: service-learning; science and reading; and developing social skills. They gather in a safe environment that focuses on making friends, building relationships, staying active, and exercising leadership skills.
