YOUTH GUESTS

• Ages 10 & Under – Children of all ages may remain with their parent or guardian in designated areas of the facility; however, they must stay under active supervision and direct visual contact within the same room or designated activity space at all times. Designated areas include the Rec Room, pool, lounge, and gym.
• Ages 11-13 – May enter without a parent/guardian. Youth members can bring 1 guest per visit unless a supervising adult (16+) is present for additional guests.
• Ages 14+ – May enter without supervision.
• Guest access may be limited December–February. All youth guests must have a Hold Harmless waiver signed by their parent/guardian before visiting.

YMCA Annual Full Payment of Membership Information

• Members are notified in December of any membership fee increases that would become effective on the member's anniversary date.

YMCA Bank Draft or Credit/Debit Card

• • Your membership is continuous.
  • Your fee will be drafted on the 1st of the month.
  • If you wish to discontinue your membership, you must do so by completing an Exit Survey at the YMCA by the 24th of the month.
  • Members on financial assistance will receive a letter stating when they need to renew their membership fee by submitting a new 1040 federal tax return. if it is not renewed, the member will be drafted at the current base membership rate.
  • A $25.00 service charge will be assessed to any Non Sufficient Fund.
  • The Joiners Fee is a one-time fee as long as you remain an active member of the YMCA. If you choose to cancel or discontinue your membership for more than 30 days, a Joiners Fee will be charged when you reapply for membership.
  • To update your credit card information, CLICK HERE to update your Daxko Account. You can use the phone number on file with the Y to log in to your account. Or you may visit us in person at the Welcome Center.

Lockers

Our Y offers lockers for daily use. Feel free to bring in your own lock and use when you are here. Please remove lock when you leave.

If you would like to keep items in a locker overnight you must rent a locker for $10/ month or $120/ annually, using your own lock.

Towels

Please bring your own towels for workout/sweat, swimming, and bathing.

At the Y, we’re dedicated to Youth Development and encourage all families to participate in the safest way possible. Please note that these guidelines apply to youth not participating in supervised programs such as swim lessons or gymnastics

YMCA MEMBERS

Ages 10 & Under – Children of all ages may remain with their parent or guardian in designated areas of the facility; however, they must stay under active supervision and direct visual contact within the same room or designated activity space at all times. Designated areas include the Rec Room, pool, lounge, and gym.

When a parent or guardian opts not to personally supervise their child while at the Y, two approved supervision options are available for children ages 10 and under.

• Child Watch is available for ages 6 weeks–5 years old and FREE for those on a Family Membership.
• Kids Zone is available for ages 6 -10 years old and FREE for those on a Family Membership.
  Note: During the school year, Kids Zone & Child Watch are combined during our morning shift.

Ages 11-13 – May be in the building alone for up to 3 hours. Can use the Rec room, gym, indoor track, lounge, and pool. At 12+, they may use the Wellness Center and Group Exercise classes.

Ages 14+ – May be in the building unsupervised and use all facilities, including Wellness Center and Group Exercise classes.

YOUTH ACCESS AWARENESS

• The YMCA does not provide direct youth supervision for ages 11+
• Youth can leave and re-enter at their discretion.
• Youth should engage in purposeful activities; no running games inside.
• Cell phone use is restricted in hallways, walking track, and prohibited in bathrooms/locker rooms.

• One lap on the outdoor track is approximately 1/2 mile.

Membership Cancellation Policy – Click to Cancel

At Southeastern IN YMCA, we strive to make managing your membership as convenient as possible. In compliance with FTC guidelines, members may cancel their membership online using our “Click to Cancel” feature.

Important Notice:
To ensure timely processing, membership cancellations must be submitted by the 24th of the month to be effective at the end of the current month. This allows us to process cancellations accurately, especially during weekends and holiday closures.

Cancellations submitted after the 24th will take effect at the end of the following month.

Member Dress Code Policy

At the YMCA, we are committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and family-friendly environment for all members, guests, and program participants. To support that environment, all individuals using the facility must wear attire that is suitable for the activity they are participating in and consistent with YMCA standards.

General Attire Expectations

Members and guests must wear clean clothing that complies with this policy at all times while in the facility.

Attire must:

• Provide coverage of the chest, buttocks, groin, and undergarments
• Be suitable for the activity and area being used
• Allow for safe participation in exercise, aquatics, and programs
• Be free from language, graphics, or images that are vulgar, offensive, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or promote alcohol, drugs, tobacco, violence, or illegal activity

Clothing Not Permitted

The following attire is not permitted in the facility:

• Clothing that is transparent or becomes transparent when wet
• Clothing that does not adequately cover private areas or undergarments
• Sports bras, bra-only tops, crop tops, or other tops that expose the midriff or chest without a full outer shirt or tank providing appropriate coverage
• Clothing with profane, offensive, or explicit words, graphics, or symbols
• Swimsuits outside of the pool area, unless covered appropriately when traveling to and from the locker room or pool
• Clothing not designed for swimming in the pool

• Footwear that the YMCA determines is unsafe or unsuitable for a specific area or activity

Wellness Center and Fitness Areas

For safety, members using the wellness center, gym, and fitness areas must wear:

• Permitted workout attire as outlined above
• Closed-toe, closed-back athletic shoes unless the program specifically requires otherwise

Sandals, Crocs, flip-flops, bare feet/socked feet, hard-soled shoes, and other unsafe footwear are not permitted in the Wellness Center and gyms.

Pool and Aquatics Areas

Members using the pool must wear swim attire made for aquatic use. Street clothes/shoes are discouraged on the pool deck outside of spectators for swim programming. Please ensure all clothing, including swimwear and streetwear, is clean and free of debris.

Acceptable swim attire includes:

• Swimsuits
• Swim trunks
• Rash guards
• Swim shirts
• Other swimwear designed for pool use, including options that meet religious, cultural, or personal coverage needs
• Swim diapers

Not permitted in the pool:

• Street clothes
• Undergarments worn as swimwear
• Clothing that becomes see-through in the water
• Swimwear featuring thong-style or minimal-coverage bottoms (including string bikinis and thong one-piece suits)
• Attire deemed unsafe, unsanitary, or not intended for pool use
• Disposable diapers

Swimwear may only be worn in pool and locker room areas unless appropriately covered.

YMCA Right to Enforce

The YMCA reserves the right to determine whether attire is permissible, safe, & consistent with this policy. Members or guests who are not dressed in accordance with this policy may be asked to change, cover up, or leave the facility for the day. Repeated violations may result in suspension or loss of membership privileges.

The Southeastern Indiana YMCA asks all members and guests to partner with our staff by treating them with respect and following their guidance as they enforce facility policies. By working together, we can maintain a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment for all. Ongoing argumentative or disrespectful behavior may result in a review of membership privileges.
